After they were demanding the resignation of one ex-Tory councillor last week over a standards issue, the LibDems now have the embarrassment of one of their councillors - John Bowker - being suspended for bringing the council into disrepute.
No idea what this is all about, but I always thought the complainant - former Liberal councillor Reg Barry - and Bowker were drinking pals!

They ARE booze buddies! My guess is Reg wanted to be on this committee and Bowker didn't want him? Reg was cross. It's always great to hear politicians fighting each other within the same party.
Indeed. Time for Cllr Gardiner and I to have a big bust-up ! Pity we are so disciplined - unlike the Tory Tendency and the Liberal Losers.....

Indeed. One party rule is extremely unhealthy. Labour will try to offer a real alternative at the next elections, based on effective opposition over the previous four years. Even if there are only two of us ! The previously 'mighty' Liberals are now down to three and have an appalling track record over the last 2.5 years.......
